Kadyrov's criticism of name of Tsentaroi contradicts historians' data
At the gathering on May 21, villagers of Tsentaroi (Khosi-Yurt) themselves demanded to rename the village in honour of Akhmat Kadyrov, said Ramzan Kadyrov, who had announced that the founder of the village was not a Chechen.

Bomb report leads to evacuation of people from Nalchik mosque

HRC "Memorial" states religion-based discrimination of resident of Dagestan
The Dagestani Prosecutor's Office has refused to check the complaint of Vazir Bazanaev, a resident of the Dagestani village of Chinar, who had stated that law enforcers persecuted him because of the so-called "prophylactic registration", the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" has stated today. Armenia concerned about large-scale military exercises in Azerbaijan
About 10,000 military servicemen are taking part in the exercises, launched on May 20 in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported. In its turn, the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has stated that the undeclared exercises violate the commitments to the OSCE.

Kadyrov's ancestral village renamed to Akhmat-Yurt
At their assembly, residents of the village of Tsentaroi have unanimously voted for renaming the village in honour of Akhmat Kadyrov, the Public Chamber of Chechnya has reported. At the entrance to the village, the name has already been replaced by "Akhmat-Yurt".

Rally in memory of victims of Caucasian War gathered 3000 people in Nalchik
The equestrian march held today in Nalchik attracted more than 170 horsemen, said Aslan Kudaev, the organizer of the march. A mass march of Circassians in national costumes with Adyg flags followed the horsemen's march, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
