Khadjimba declared president of Abkhazia amid opponents' protest
The incumbent president, Raul Khadjimba, has gained a thousand votes more than Alkhas Kvitsiniya, the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Abkhazia has announced today. Alkhas Kvitsiniya has promised to challenge the CEC's decision in court.

Law enforcers report details of shootout in Grozny
The 18-year-old resident of Chechnya, shot dead today in a shootout with policemen, had been put on the wanted list after hijacking a car and stealing a pistol from his relative, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has informed. The young man had planned to attack law enforcers, the director of the ChGTRK said, but the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has not yet confirmed this version.

Chechen law enforcers detain Vakharagov amateur singers
The brothers Ayub and Askhab Vakharagov were detained for an "educative conversation", because they violated the ban on singing the songs not approved by the Chechen authorities, Kheda Saratova, a member of the Human Rights Council under the head of Chechnya, stated on September 8. Dagestani women responded with flash mob to Khabib's words about wearing papakhas

A bike ride of Ekaterina Gerasimova, a journalist, along the embankment in Vladikavkaz seemed to local law enforcers like the behaviour of a drug hider. Ms Gerasimova complained about ill-treatment at detention. She missed her train, but law enforcers helped her to catch up with the train in a police car.

Dagestani law enforcers set free detained local residents
Several dozens of people, who were kept in a division of a power structure in the Khasavyurt District, were released nine hours after detention, local residents have informed. The Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) claims that none of these people was detained.
