Caucasian experts call in question video about Chechen militants in Karabakh

The footage of the video about the sending of Chechen natives to Nagorno-Karabakh does not contain any explicit signs to identify the location of the shooting, although military vehicles in the video are typical for the Middle East, experts says. The parties do not emphasize the religious background of the conflict, but it is the key motive for the natives of Chechnya, suggests Caucasian expert Akhmet Yarlykapov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 2, a video was posted on Instagram about the alleged participation of Chechen natives in the hostilities in the Karabakh conflict zone. Some network users consider the video to be authentic. Others said it was fake, and the video was filmed in Crimea.

Caucasian expert Akhmet Yarlykapov believes that the video could not have been filmed in Karabakh. The expert considers the very version of the participation of Chechen residents in the Karabakh conflict implausible.

Turkey calls to support Azerbaijan on the basis of ethnic, not religious solidarity, emphasizes Akhmet Yarlykapov.

Anatoly Tsyganok, the head of the Centre for Military Forecasting, believes that ethnic Chechens may participate in the Karabakh conflict, but mostly not residents of Chechnya itself. The expert suggests Chechens may be among those militants who, according to the widespread version, were transferred from Syria.

Blogger Tumso Abdurakhmanov also admits that the purpose of the post is solely a move to increase popularity of the Instagram page.
