"Smart Voting" yields notable results only in one region of Southern Russia

Rostov LGBT activists complain about police inaction
Law enforcers have refused to initiate a criminal case on the applications of Anna Dvornichenko, a Rostov LGBT activist, submitted after two attacks and threats against her. Polina Raizman, another activist, has complained about police inaction in searching for the man, who threw a smoke bomb at a café.

"Sanitek" workers demand wages from Yerevan Mayoralty
The participants in protest rally held in Yerevan by the workers of the "Sanitek" Company assert that the city authorities failed to transfer funds to pay wages to them. PFPA claims kidnapping of its activist in Baku
On September 10, Ruslan Amirli, an activist of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA), was kidnapped by unidentified people in Baku, the PFPA has stated. According to Nurlan Libre, a freelance journalist, the activist was taken to the 29th station of the Yasamal District Police Department.

Armenian citizen convicted in Russia for recruiting teen into IS*
A court in the Vladimir Region of Russia has found Ashot Grigoryan, an Armenian citizen, guilty of recruiting a teenager into a terrorist organization and sentenced him to 14 years in prison, the Russian FSB (Federal Security Bureau) reported on September 9.
