The name of the officer from Stavropol killed in the Kursk region has been revealed.

Ivan Kashirin was killed in combat. Since the beginning of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 975 fighters from the Stavropol region have been officially recognized as killed.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by September 13, authorities and security forces recognized at least 974 fighters from the Stavropol region as killed. The last one officially reported was Yevgeny Wagner from the Soviet village of the Kirov municipal district.

A memorial desk was opened at school No. 11 in Yessentuki for Ivan Kashirin, who was killed in the special military operation, Governor of the Stavropol region Vladimir Vladimirov reported on September 17 in his Telegram channel.

Ivan Kashirin was a career officer. He served in the North Caucasus, performed special tasks in Syria, and was on the front lines from the first days of the special military operation. He was killed two years ago in the Kursk region. He was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.

Thus, at least 975 servicemen from the Stavropol region have been officially recognized as killed on the Ukrainian front.
