The serviceman was convicted in Kabardino-Balkaria for desertion.

The court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Pshukov to five years in prison, finding him guilty of being absent from service for more than one and a half years.

On September 10, the Nalchik garrison military court issued a verdict against serviceman Pshukov, who was charged under part 5 of article 337 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The article provides for a sentence of five to ten years of imprisonment.

The court established that on October 27, 2024, during mobilization, Pshukov unlawfully left his place of service - the temporary deployment point of the military unit, reports the Nalchik court on its page on "VKontakte".

On July 20, 2026, Pshukov voluntarily arrived at the military investigative department in Mozdok in North Ossetia, and from October 28, 2024, to July 20, 2026, he spent his time at his place of residence at his discretion.

"The defendant recognized the illegality of his actions, truthfully described them, and expressed regret for what he had done," the message states.

Taking into account the actual circumstances of the case and data about Pshukov's personality, the defendant was sentenced to real imprisonment for a term of 5 years in a general regime correctional colony. He was taken into custody in the courtroom and placed in a detention center.

The court's press service does not disclose the name of the serviceman; however, according to the criminal case card on the court's website, the convicted person is Artur Pshukov. The case was submitted for consideration on August 31, and on September 10, Judge Pyatov issued a guilty verdict.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that earlier the court in Nalchik sentenced serviceman Zhamanov to five years in prison, finding him guilty of being absent from service for almost six months.
