Dagestan Senator Suleiman Kerimov has decided to pay for 1,500 free Hajj vouchers for Muslims in Russia in 2026, 1,000 of which will be distributed throughout the republic. For this year's Hajj, the senator purchased 5,000 vouchers, half of which were intended for pilgrims from Dagestan.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," this year, 2,500 Dagestan residents traveled to Hajj using free vouchers purchased by Suleiman Kerimov. Participants in the special military operation and their family members received 80% of these vouchers. In total, Keerimov purchased five thousand free Hajj vouchers for Muslims in Russia.

"This year, just like last year, the National Hajj Company, led by Khizri Kurbanov, will be organizing the Hajj for Dagestanis using charitable vouchers, since last year's pilgrimage was organized at a high level," the deputy added.

In 2026, 25,000 Russians will be able to go on the Hajj, Mufti Rushan Abbyasov, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation (SAM RF) for International Affairs and Hajj, announced on November 9.

"A bilateral agreement was signed between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Russian Federation on organizing the pilgrimage of Russian Muslims in the upcoming 2026. The quota for Russians remains at the level of previous years – 25 "000 people," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

Of this number, 10,000 places were allocated directly for residents of Dagestan, Marva-Tour, a company that organizes Hajj trips, reported on its website on November 9.
