Baksan resident sentenced for aiding and abetting IS militant
In Rostov-on-Don, the Southern District Military Court found Arthur Chemkov, a resident of Kabardino-Balkaria, guilty of aiding and abetting a member of the “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”) and sentenced him to 11 years of imprisonment in a high-security penal colony.

Soldiers blocked a section of the road from Goris to Kapan, and as a result, residents of the villages of Vorotan, Shurnukh, and Bartsravan were left without a car connection. The blocked villages face problems with the supply of food.

Azerbaijani soldier detained in Nagorno-Karabakh
A soldier of the Azerbaijani army entered a private house in Martakert and threatened minors, the Prosecutor’s Office of Nagorno-Karabakh reported. The soldier was treated in a psychiatric ward and escaped from the hospital, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan reported.

Incident on Armenian-Azerbaijani border requires Russian militaries' intervention
