Residents of two Dagestani villages claim their rights to use water spring
A spring, which provoked a conflict between villagers of Chuni and Tsukhta in the Levashi District of Dagestan, is located in the territory of the Chuni village, and therefore, it should be used for the needs of its residents. This opinion was voiced by Talkhat Khaibulaev, the head of the Chuni village. Abdulkhalik Abdulkhalikov, the head of the Tsukhta village.

Court dismisses "Mashr" complaint about its registration as foreign agent
The Zamoskvoretsky Court of Moscow has dismissed the claim field by the Ingush human rights organization "Mashr" against the Russian Ministry of Justice (MoJ). The rights defenders have failed to challenge the MoJ's decision made in 2015 to include the NGO to the register of foreign agents.

Derbent residents resettled from dilapidated houses report stop of building new ones
Within the resettlement programme from dilapidated and emergency houses, Derbent is building 15 new houses instead of the ones demolished earlier. The construction works have been stopped at all sites, the residents of the city who wait for moving into new houses built at their old addresses have reported today.

Accident at street races has led to arrest of grandson of Azerbaijani Vice-Premier
In Azerbaijan, the 23-year-old Nail Allakhverdiev, a participant of the road accident, which resulted in the death of two persons, has been arrested. He is a grandson of Ali Gasanov, the country’s Vice-Premier. According to a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), the accident was caused by street races on expensive foreign-made cars.

"Novoe Delo": Magomed Omarov's relatives detained for kidnapping Dagestani Minister
Three men detained in the case on the kidnapping of Dagestani Minister Ibragim Kazibekov appeared to be relatives of Police Colonel Magomed Omarov, suspected of organizing the crime, the "Novoe Delo" reports. Meanwhile, the authorities denied the Magomed Omarov's blood relationship with Dagestani leader Ramazan Abdulatipov.

Court appoints public defenders in Zhirair Sefilyan's case
In Yerevan, a court has continued a trial in the case against Zhirair Sefilyan. A court hearing has been held in the absence of six out of seven defendants, including Zhirair Sefilyan himself. In the courtroom, there was only one defendant who testified against the oppositionist and his defence, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

No one killed in fire in Sumgait hostel
In Azerbaijan, a fire in a Sumgait hostel was explained by short circuit on the third floor. Meanwhile, no explosion occurred in the building, and none of tenants was killed. All the victims are already discharged from hospital. This was reported by the local authorities.

Talekh Bagirzade's wife claims use of violence against her husband in prison
