The case of a resident of Derbent regarding the rehabilitation of Nazism has reached the court.

The Supreme Court of Dagestan will consider the case of a resident of Derbent regarding the rehabilitation of Nazism. According to the investigation, he distorted historical information about the events of World War II in online comments.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in March, a resident of Dagestan was charged with the rehabilitation of Nazism. The reason for the criminal prosecution was the man's publications in one of the messengers.

The Prosecutor's Office of Dagestan has approved the indictment in the criminal case against the resident of Derbent. He is accused of rehabilitating Nazism 1 , the press service of the supervisory authority for the region reported today.

According to the investigation, in March 2026, the man used the internet in one of the messengers to leave a comment containing statements approving the crimes committed by the Nazis during World War II. The crimes were established by the verdict of the International Military Tribunal.

"The criminal case has been sent to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Dagestan for substantive consideration," the message states.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in early August, law enforcement officials saw in the comments of a resident of Makhachkala a distortion of historical information about the events of World War II. A criminal case was initiated against him. Previously, a criminal case under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism was initiated against a resident of Kizlyar.
