The sentence of Magomeddibir Magomedbirov caused dissatisfaction among social media users.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on September 8, blogger from Dagestan Magomeddibir Magomedbirov was sentenced to two years in a settlement colony after a road conflict with handball coach Georgy Zaikin. The court ordered Magomeddibirov to pay the victim 300,000 rubles in moral damages. Head of the Public Monitoring Commission of Dagestan Shamil Khadulaev called the sentence "mockery of common sense".

"Caucasian Knot" currently does not have a comment from the coach of the Astrakhan handball club "Dynamo" Georgy Zaikin, with whom Magomeddibirov had the fight. However, Zaikin previously commented to RIA "Novosti". He noted that the cause of the conflict was the aggressive driving of the BMW driver. "He was previously detained for shooting, drifting, and hooliganism in Astrakhan in the same car," the news agency quoted Zaikin's words.

The conflict occurred in the evening when Zaikin was returning from training. The coach reported that the BMW driver cut him off while overtaking, causing Zaikin's car to veer off the road and sustain damage. According to Zaikin's version, the BMW driver then began to force open the coach's car door and threatened him with violence.
