Dagestani drivers pointed out to the authorities the unresolved issue of high gasoline prices.

For three months now, high fuel prices have persisted in Dagestan, and the authorities have not taken effective measures to address this problem, local drivers indicated on social media, demanding that officials work to reduce fuel costs.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the acting head of Dagestan, Fyodor Shchukin, instructed at the end of August to expedite the resumption of operations of gas stations closed for violations. Most of the previously closed gas stations in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk have rectified their violations, and the resumption of their operations will be discussed, the Dagestan government reported. On September 6, it became known that a gas station that had previously been closed due to identified violations had started operating in Makhachkala.

In Dagestan, a new form of daily reporting for gas stations was introduced at the instruction of the acting head of the republic, Fyodor Shchukin. Municipalities are now sending daily data on fuel supplies, sales, and stocks to the Ministry of Energy of the republic, reported RGVK "Dagestan".

The authorities' report on the daily reconciliation of gas station data was also published by the Instagram*-public makhachkala_, which has about 251 thousand followers. As of 09:10 MSK on September 12, this post received 130 likes and 48 comments.

Commenters, identifying themselves as drivers, noted that fuel prices in Dagestan remain high.

"For three months, prices have not fallen," wrote kurban_halu.

"140 rubles per liter of gasoline. Is that normal?" asked user sport_dag_magazin.

"I filled up with gas for 44.8 rubles," noted master_remont36.

Other commenters demanded to resolve the issue of high gasoline prices and fuel shortages in Dagestan. "Why do we need this reporting? Just lower the fuel prices," demanded strannik_4444.

"Why this report? Lower the prices; we don't have high salaries in our republic," complained saida_usman.

"Sort out the fuel shortage and the prices," wrote shamil08000.

"When will you lower the prices?" asked user blask_borz.

"Control the prices," urged user umma_al07.

Recall that on August 24, the Union of Entrepreneurs of Dagestan warned about the depletion of fuel supplies at some gas stations, after which drivers complained about fuel shortages and queues.

On August 17, a correspondent for "Caucasian Knot" found only two out of ten checked gas stations operating on Akushinsky Avenue in Makhachkala.

On July 31, the authorities announced inspections of closed gas stations in Makhachkala for their subsequent reopening, while social media users pointed out that simply reopening gas stations would not solve the problem of high prices.

On June 23, Fyodor Shchukin promised not to allow further price increases for gasoline, including with the help of the antimonopoly service, but residents of the republic demanded that he confirm his promises with results.
