22 artists participated in the VI symposium "Colors of Dizak" in Armenia.

In Kapan, the final exhibition of the VI symposium "Colors of Dizak" has opened, where 22 artists presented 41 works of art.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the first symposium "Colors of Dizak" took place in Nagorno-Karabakh in 2017 at the initiative of the culture and youth affairs department of the Gadout district administration. The aim of the event is to present the cultural heritage of the Dizak region (the medieval name of Gadout) through painting. The fifth symposium took place in September last year.

The final exhibition was held in the city of Kapan in the Syunik region of Armenia, where 41 works of art created by artists during the VI International Art Symposium "Colors of Dizak" were presented.

The symposium took place from August 10 to 16, 2026, with the participation of 22 artists from Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Russia, South Africa, Serbia, Montenegro, and Italy.

"During the week, the artists worked in different corners of Syunik, discovering its landscapes, architecture, and atmosphere, translating their impressions into the language of painting. As is tradition, all the paintings created during the symposium were donated to the "Dizak Art" center. Thus, the collection created during the project will enrich the cultural fund of our center," said the co-chair of the center Yerazik Avanesyan to the correspondent of "Caucasian Knot".

According to her, "the exhibition will last for 10 days, and entry is free." This year, the sponsors of the event were Landmark Capital, Kataro, SOS Chretiens Orient, and private entrepreneurs. "Colors of Dizak" is an international initiative for professional artists, which has been the only such initiative in Armenia for the last two years. The uniqueness of our project lies not only in the opportunity for artists to discover the features and beauty of various regions of Armenia through creativity. The symposium has become a kind of platform for collaborative creativity, sharing professional experience, and strengthening cultural ties between artists from different countries," Avanesyan added.
