A teenager from Dagestan has been arrested in a terrorism case.

A 17-year-old teenager used social media communities to plot mass murders of schoolchildren in various regions of Russia. He also claimed to be collaborating with the SBU and organizing arson attacks in the United States and Europe. The investigation announced his arrest.

A court has arrested a teenager from Dagestan in connection with the plot to murder students at the Domodedovo School, the Russian Investigative Committee reported.

"During interrogation, the minor confirmed to the investigator his involvement in organizing the assassination attempt on students at the Domodedovo Secondary School, which was thwarted. He also reported other similar crimes in the Moscow Region, St. Petersburg, Orenburg, Krasnoyarsk, Lipetsk, Kaluga, Stavropol Krai, and the Republic of Buryatia," said Svetlana Petrenko, official representative of the Russian Investigative Committee.

A teenager who administered an international terrorist online community has been charged with plotting mass murders of schoolchildren.

At the time of the teenagers' arrest, he "administered information resources promoting terrorist ideology, with an audience of over 200,000 subscribers, including approximately 5,000 "Thousands were active members of these communities," the Investigative Committee reported.

His archive of correspondence with accomplices from Russia, the United States, and European countries, as well as photos and videos of the preparation and execution of terrorist attacks, were seized; investigators are reviewing their contents.

During interrogation, footage of which was published by the Investigative Committee, the young man stated that the organization was "supervised by SBU agents" but also operated outside of Russia, specifically in Europe and the United States. "In January 2026, one of our members committed five arsons in Texas," he stated during interrogation, also mentioning arsons in Germany, Italy, and California.

In the first seconds of interrogation, the teenager said: "I want to voluntarily report the crimes I committed."

The name of the terrorist organization, the name of the accused, and his occupation were not disclosed in the agency's statement.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot," in early February 2022, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee reportedon the prevention of terrorist attacks in educational institutions in Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and Stavropol, as well as in Moscow, Crimea, and the Tver region. Most of them were prepared by supporters of the Columbine movement, which the Russian Supreme Court declared a terrorist organization and banned its activities in the country.
