Abkhaz blogger Daur Buava was not a drug addict; he had health problems, said his ex-wife Nino Tskhovrebadze.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the body of Abkhaz blogger Daur Buava, who was accused of treason in Abkhazia, was found in a rented apartment in Tbilisi. Daur Buava, due to his views, received numerous threats, said Tamta Mikeladze, head of the "Center for Social Justice" in connection with the death of the Abkhaz blogger. Two people have been detained in the case of Buava's death, accused of drug possession, and his girlfriend is accused of leaving a person in danger. Buava's lawyer Natia Mezvrishvili stated that she disagrees with the version of death related to drug use.

Daur Buava's ex-wife Nino Tskhovrebadze rejected the overdose version and called for refraining from conclusions until the official results of the forensic examination are published, reported "News-Georgia" on August 30.

According to her, the blogger had health problems recently; he complained of high blood pressure, frequent headaches, and severe nosebleeds. According to Tskhovrebadze, Buava did not use drugs. "Daur loved entertainment, could go to a club or bar, but he was never a drug addict," she stated.

The ex-wife also mentioned that she knows the girl who was detained in this case, but Tskhovrebadze is sure that there were no romantic or close relations between them.

The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has charged the detained Ukrainian citizen Victoria Kilyuk with leaving Buava in distress. According to the agency, the accused and Buava jointly used a narcotic drug, after which she felt unwell and lost consciousness. When she came to, it is claimed that two days later, she saw that Buava was breathing heavily. At that time, he was conscious. The detainee got scared and left, leaving Buava in an unconscious state, reported "Georgia-Online".

Cameras installed at the entrance and in the stairwell of the building where the blogger lived confirmed the information that the accused came to him. Also, according to the recordings, Buava left the house twice that same night; they did not record him again. Additionally, the cameras recorded that the girl left the house two days later.

The detainee has been charged under Article 128 of the Criminal Code of Georgia (leaving in danger), and the prosecutor's office has applied to the court for a measure of restraint in the form of arrest.
