Levon Ter-Petrosyan's party called on the opposition to unite against the Armenian authorities.

The Armenian National Congress, led by former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, called on the opposition to unite to resist the authorities' attempts to secure a constitutional majority in parliament.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot", on June 14, the Central Election Commission of Armenia announced the final results after a recount of the votes, three parties entered parliament - "Civil Contract" - 49.74% of the votes, the "Strong Armenia" bloc - 23.27%, and the "Armenia" bloc - 9.92%.

The Armenian National Congress Party, led by former Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan, proposed that all opposition forces jointly appeal the parliamentary election results and hold new elections, as well as oppose the authorities' attempts to secure a constitutional majority in parliament, which the party called illegal in a statement, News.am reported on June 21.

The congress's statement noted that the authorities have labeled all opponents enemies of peace and "war parties." The regime wants to adopt a constitution that eliminates the state and legal foundations of Armenia's independence and removes the remaining checks and balances that impede Pashinyan's sole rule. The statement also contains accusations against the current government of falsifying election results.

The ANC proposes holding joint mass protests and drafting a constitution based on the semi-presidential model adopted in 1990.

It should be recalled that the ANC previously joined the statement on the falsification of election results, which was also signed by the Strong Armenia and Armenia blocs, the Prosperous Armenia, Bright Armenia, and National People's Pole parties.

The parliamentary elections effectively became a referendum on the future of the current government and Armenia's foreign policy. The "Caucasian Knot" has published a report titled "2026 Elections to the National Assembly (Parliament) of Armenia".
