The administrator of an Adyghe Telegram channel was convicted of participating in a terrorist organization.

A military court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced Ibragim Nagoyev, a native of Adygea, to 11 years in prison, finding him a member of a terrorist organization.

Ibragim Nagoyev was charged with participating in the activities of a terrorist organization (Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code). This article carries a sentence of 10 to 20 years in prison.

The Adygea resident's sentence was announced today by the republic's Investigative Committee, without naming him. The prosecution was based on materials collected by the FSB and the regional Center for Combating Extremism.

According to the prosecution, in 2024-2025, the accused administered a messenger channel where he called for illegal actions. He "disseminated materials justifying and justifying the activities of a terrorist organization and its members," and "promoted destructive ideas to an unlimited number of people," according to a statement on the agency's website.

The FSB Directorate for Adygea, in turn, reported that the case of Ibragim Nagoyev, a resident of Maykop, was heard by the Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don. "Nagoyev was the administrator of the information portal of a foreign non-governmental organization, which was designated as terrorist by a decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. He also moderated the Telegram channel of this organization," TASS quotes the statement from the FSB.

The agency did not specify which terrorist organization was being referred to. According to the FSB, Nagoyev's posts on the Telegram channel were aimed at "inciting the Adyghe population of Russian regions to hold unauthorized public events, as well as promoting separatist ideas." Security officials claim his posts "promoted the idea of ​​creating an independent state on Russian territory."

Ibragim Nagoyev's sentence has entered into force. He was sentenced to 11 years in prison, with the first two years to be served in a maximum-security penal colony and the remainder in a maximum-security penal colony.

Ibragim Nagoyev was born in August 1996 in the village of Khodz in the Koshekhablsky District of Adygea, according to his entry in the Rosfinmonitoring register of terrorists and extremists.
