Three Vladikavkaz residents have been arrested in connection with an explosion at a fireworks warehouse.

Investigators in Vladikavkaz have detained the owner of a warehouse and the organizers of a fireworks production facility, suspects in the explosion that killed two people and injured 15.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," the explosion in Vladikavkaz, according to initial reports, killed two people and injured 14. Of these, 13, including two children, were hospitalized. Today, it was reported that on the evening of April 10, after seeking medical attention, a teenager suffered a concussion in the explosion and was also hospitalized. Four adults have been discharged from the hospital.

Suspects of providing unsafe services that resulted in deaths in Vladikavkaz have been detained, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for North Ossetia reported today on its Telegram channel.

"The owner of the commercial premises and the organizers of the pyrotechnic production have been detained," the agency reported, without specifying the number of detainees.

The publication indicates that the teenager, who sought medical attention on the evening of April 10, is the 15th victim. "As a result of the incident, two people died at the scene, and fifteen citizens, including three minors, were hospitalized," investigators explained.

Investigators intend to petition for pretrial detention for the detainees, the publication notes.

Security forces detained three people, all local residents, RIA Novosti reported today, citing a representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

"Three suspects have been detained in the criminal case – the owner of commercial premises and two organizers of pyrotechnic production," the agency quoted him as saying.
