Authorities reported no fuel oil emissions in Anapa.

From January 29 to February 6, there were no new fuel oil spills on the coast of Anapa and the Temryuk district, authorities stated.

As reported by the "Caucasian Knot," the beaches of Anapa and the Temryuk district are still unsuitable for recreation following the fuel oil spill, Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor, stated on February 4. She did not rule out that the situation could change by the start of the summer season. Some bloggers believe that the Rospotrebnadzor head's statement regarding Anapa's beaches has put an end to the 2026 season. First, it's necessary to ensure there are no emissions from the sunken parts of the tankers. Others believe hotelier profits are less important than public health.

From January 29 to February 6, no new oil spills were recorded in Anapa and the Temryuk district, the Krasnodar Krai task force reported on February 6 following shoreline monitoring by Kuban-SPAS personnel.

The Russian government also reported similar data, noting that more than 3,000 kilometers of coastline have been cleaned since the beginning of the work, including repeated cleanups. More than 185,000 tons of contaminated sand and soil have been collected. Of these, almost 176,000 tons were disposed of or recycled. The combined force involved in eliminating the consequences of the emergency is 785 people and 186 pieces of equipment, according to a statement dated February 6.

As a reminder, on April 18, 2025, Rospotrebnadzor declared 141 beaches in Anapa and nine beaches in the Temryuk district unsuitable for recreation.
