Public sector workers in Ingushetia complained about non-payment of wages ahead of the New Year holidays.

Employees of hospitals and community centers in Ingushetia reported that they went without pay before the New Year, despite the authorities promising to pay them before the holidays, as required by the Labor Code.

In Ingushetia, employees of several ministries and budgetary institutions did not receive their December salaries before the New Year holidays, despite government promises.

This was reported by employees of hospitals, community centers, museums, coaches, and specialists from the Ministry of Sports. Some teachers and school staff received payments, Fortanga reports today.

"The cultural workers still haven't seen their money. While some school specialists received their salaries, we didn't receive any," said one of the interviewees.

"The hospitals also haven't paid us. They didn't explain the situation; they told us to wait until the end of the holidays," explained a doctor at one of Ingushetia's hospitals.

At the same time, the government of Ingushetia reported on December 30 that, at the direction of the Head of the Republic, the Ministry of Finance of Ingushetia is working "to deliver funds to institutions for the purpose of paying wages for December this year. The funds necessary for these payments have already been delivered to general education and preschool institutions, and the second installment of wages is expected to be paid in the first half of December 31. Payments to other employees will also be made during December 31 of this year," the government of the republic promised on its Telegram channel.

If the payment day coincides with a weekend or non-working holiday, wages are paid the day before that day (in accordance with Article 136 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation). December 31, 2025 was officially a day off, and the holidays will last from January 1 to January 11 inclusive, so those employers whose salary payment deadline falls between the 1st and 11th of the following month must pay December salaries on the eve of the day off - December 30, Rostrud explained in October 2025.
