Ramazan Ekazhev's case has reached court in Ingushetia.

A court in Ingushetia is hearing a case involving a plot to blow up an oil depot, for which local resident Ramazan Ekazhev has been in custody for a second year. Alikhan Khidriev is also involved in the case, charged solely with illegal trafficking of explosive devices.

"Caucasian Knot" reported that in November 2024, the Magas Court arrested 28-year-old local resident Ramazan Ekazhev in connection with trafficking in explosive devices and plotting an explosion at an oil depot.

The Supreme Court of Ingushetia has been hearing the case of 29-year-old Ramazan Ekazhev and 26-year-old Alikhan Khidriev since October 29. Witnesses were questioned at the November 12 hearing.

Ramazan Ekazhev has been charged with preparing an act of sabotage "aimed at undermining the economic security and defense capability of the Russian Federation," as well as with the illegal trafficking of explosive devices by an organized group. A second defendant in the case, Alikhan Khidriev, has only been charged with the illegal possession of explosive devices by a group, the United Press Service of the Republic's Courts reported on its official Telegram channel.

The press service's statement did not specify the testimony of the witnesses questioned in court. The next hearing in the case is scheduled for 2:30 PM Moscow time on November 19.

Nazran native Ramazan Ekazhev's details were added to the Rosfinmonitoring list of terrorists and extremists on September 23, 2024, according to a message from a bot tracking updates to the list. There is no information about 26-year-old Khidriev on this list as of November 15, 2025.
