Nagorno-Karabakh announces house construction in village affected by war

After the autumn war, 15 houses stay completely destroyed in the Krasny Bazar community. New 150 private houses are planned to be built.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that during the autumn war in Nagorno-Karabakh, 6943 buildings and constructions were damaged. Of them, 45 were completely destroyed.

Today, the press service for the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Nagorno-Karabakh has announced that it is planned to build 150 houses in the Krasny Bazar community in the Martuni District of Nagorno-Karabakh. As a result of the combat actions in the Krasny Bazar community, 15 houses were completely destroyed, and 10 of them cannot be restored.

According to the Nagorno-Karabakh Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures, some of the Krasny Bazar community's residents are engaged in agriculture and cattle breeding. There are 2-3 large farms, workshops for the production of vegetable oil, wine, and a woodworking enterprise. Many families from the surrounding villages want to move to the Krasny Bazar community, because, in addition to jobs, the community offers for its residents a kindergarten and a new school, shops, gas stations, an electricity supply network, and a post office. The Krasny Bazar community has access to the wireless communication and the Internet, the "Sputnik Armenia" reports today with reference to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Nagorno-Karabakh.

During the combat actions and subsequent negotiations, “Azerbaijan wanted to occupy the Krasny Bazar (the Armenian name is Karmir Shuka, – note of the ‘Caucasian Knot) community at any cost;” however, the control over the village was retained, said Nagorno-Karabakh President Araik Arutyunyan on March 7. He noted that Tagavard and Karmir Shuka were among the villages most affected by the war.
