Parents of Sunzha schoolchildren outraged by organization of police exercises

In Sunzha, the police exercises caused a panic among schoolchildren. Their relatives said they were not aware of the police exercises and perceived everything that was happening as a real threat of a terror act.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 8, in Ingush Sunzha and the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, all schools interrupted classes. The Ingush police attributed the evacuation of schoolchildren to the exercises.

Parents were not aware of the reason for the evacuation of the schoolchildren, says a mother of a schoolboy from the school No. 2 in Sunzha. "Until now, the parent committee is discussing how it was possible to resort to such a barbaric way to take the children out in winter. Usually, the alarm is announced, and then they take everyone out as planned. The children had to stay on the street without their jackets until the end of the police exercises. That day they were not allowed back to school at all, while their jackets were left in the building. It was cold outside," the mother of the schoolboy told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The parents believe the responsibility for the panic lies with the organizers of the police exercises. "If the school administration knew about the plans of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), if they knew that these were planned exercises, they would have never taken the children out into the street in winter, do you understand? We were not told about anything. The school administration would have never made such a decision. This is not the principal's fault, but the MIA's fault. They did not inform us about what was happening, did not tell us when we could bring the children back to get dressed. I had to leave my workplace to pick up my children who stood in the street without clothes," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Magomed Guloev, a father of a 6th form boy from the school No. 2 in Sunzha.
