36 families with many children granted free housing in Nagorno-Karabakh

The authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh provided housing to 26 families with many children at the expense of the budget, and other ten families were granted housing from the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. Comfortable houses, provided by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, are much better than public housing, reported the families with many children.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2015, within the annual charity marathon, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund started raising funds for the construction of housing for families with many children in Nagorno-Karabakh. By November 2016, 15 cottages were built for families with five or more children. In total, in Nagorno-Karabakh, about 240 families take care of five or more children.

Families with many children are granted housing under the programme for stimulating the birth rate, financed from the state budget and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

At present, the state part of the programme is to grant housing to 99 families, reported Unan Tadevosyan, the press secretary of the Ministry for Urban Development of Nagorno-Karabakh.

In 2017, it is planned to build 22 houses for families with at least five children, reported Valery Gazaryan, the spokesman for the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. According to him, the houses are provided completely furnished.

Nanar Musaelyan, the mother of six children, was granted housing in the Varanda village of the Martuni District. "We really like the house. We would never be able to build such a house for our family members and bought furniture. It is a great support for our family," noted the woman.
