Chechen resident accused of trying to join militants in Syria
A resident of Chechnya, detained in the summer of 2019 on the border with Syria, was accused of trying to join the ranks of militants of the "Islamic State" (IS)*. The man pleaded guilty, the Investigating Department for Chechnya of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) reported.

Residents of Chechnya complain about facing difficulties when entering republic
In contradiction to the authorities' statements, a certificate confirming that a person is not infected with coronavirus does not guarantee the possibility of entering Chechnya, local residents claim. Azeri opposition activist arrested for 15 days
