Residents of Yerevan sign up as army volunteers
Yerevan residents quit their jobs and studies to go to war zone as volunteers. Many military registration and enlistment offices (commissariats) refuse to call or offer to wait for summons; in such case, people join the "Yerkrapa" Volunteer Union, Yerevan residents told the "Caucasian Knot".

Death toll of civilians in Azerbaijan reaches 19
In Azerbaijan, 169 houses located near the frontline were partially or completely destroyed; more than 55 civilians were hospitalized with wounds; and the total number of civilian casualties reached 19 by October 1, the country's General Prosecutor's Office (GPO) has stated.

Mufti's call for vaccination outrages residents of Chechnya
Salakh Mezhiev, the Mufti of Chechnya, has urged residents of the republic to get vaccinated against influenza. The Chechen authorities are imposing vaccination on local residents, the residents of Grozny, interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot", believe. Theologians should not interfere with vaccination issues, especially since the procedure is voluntary, Instagram users have noted.

Nagorno-Karabakh residents report numerous victims of shelling

ECtHR rules paying compensations to eight Azerbaijani journalists
The European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in Strasbourg has recognized rights violations of eight Azerbaijani journalists and obliged the country's authorities to pay compensations to them ranging from 7500 to 15,000 euros.

Fewer people stay at Kullar camp after cancellation of flight to Azerbaijan
The authorities of the Derbent District of Dagestan discussed a removal of a camp near the village of Kullar because of the weather conditions, but it was still decided to leave tents in place. The number of people staying in the camp has decreased, and it is already getting cold at night, a local resident has told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent today.

Karabakh reports about five Azerbaijani aircrafts and helicopters shot down over a day
Today, the air defence system of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army shot down three aircrafts, two helicopters, and six unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the southern and south-eastern directions of the front line, Artsrun Ovannisyan, the spokesperson for the operational headquarters under the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Armenia, has written on his Facebook page. According to him, one of the helicopters fell on the territory controlled by the Defence Army, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reported.

Four journalists wounded in Nagorno-Karabakh
In the city of Martuni in the east of Nagorno-Karabakh, a group of foreign journalists came under fire. Two reporters of the French Le Monde and two Armenian journalists were wounded, the united information centre under the government of Armenia reported.

Civilian killed in a shelling attack on Terter
One person was killed in a shelling attack from the Armenian side on the city of Terter, and the number of civilians killed during the hostilities reached 16, while 55 others were wounded, the General Prosecutor's Office of Azerbaijan reported. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) of Azerbaijan registered a rocket attack in the Karabakh conflict zone and denied information about a downed helicopter.

Armenian Diasporas raise USD 10.5 million for Nagorno-Karabakh
Armenians living in many countries have sent USD 10.5 million to financially support Nagorno-Karabakh; and 130 trucks with foodstuffs have arrived from Armenia, sources from the Nagorno-Karabakh authorities have reported, adding that Armenian Diasporas from different countries of the world are financially supporting Nagorno-Karabakh.

Turkey and Armenia exchange accusations in context of Karabakh fighting
The Turkish air forces are involved in the hostilities on the side of Azerbaijan, the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated. Azerbaijani authorities get ready to accept another group of citizens from Dagestan
The cancellation of the passage of Azerbaijanis from Kullar is associated with the burden on state bodies caused by the warfare, but the next group of citizens departing to their homeland is expected in the coming week, the Azerbaijani government has stated.
