Azerbaijan claims a shelling attack from Armenia

Rights defenders demand to resume inquiry into torture of four Anapa residents
A Krasnodar court has upheld the termination of the criminal case on the torture of Anapa residents, Artyom Ponomarchuk, Aram Arustamyan, Karen and Erik Engoyan, detained in 2015, the Committee against Torture (CaT) has informed. Defence intends to appeal against this decision.

Baku treats Armenian soldier's death at border as result of accident
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has denied reports about the shelling by Azerbaijani militaries of Armenian Army's positions on the border near the village of Verin Shorzha and stated that the Armenian soldier's death was an accident.

FSB reports detention in Stavropol Territory of a man suspected of plotting a terror act
In the Stavropol Territory, a supporter of the “Islamic State” (IS, a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, – note of the “Caucasian Knot”), who was plotting a terror act in Norilsk, was detained, the FSB reports. Armenian soldier killed in a shootout on border with Azerbaijan
