Stavropol Territory: bride abduction cases prove viability of this tradition
A court in Neftekumsk began hearing the case of two local residents accused of abducting a bride. This is at least the second such case in 10 months considered by Stavropol territorial courts. The custom of bride abduction is widespread in the Stavropol Territory, but most often occurs by the parties' mutual consent, the local Mufti and analysts believe.

North-Ossetian native Timur Tumgoev requests a visit of human rights defenders from Moscow
Timur Tumgoev, a native of Vladikavkaz, is serving a sentence in the Saratov Region on the charge of involvement with Syrian militant groupings. He faces regular provocations because of his faith and wearing a beard. Four persons detained at protest action near Armenian Ministry for Public Health
After a scandal around the dead bodies of Armenian soldiers, which were stored in improper conditions, the opposition demanded the resignation of Anait Avanesyan, the acting Minister for Public Health. Participants of a protest action tried to throw sacks at the building of the Armenian Ministry for Public Health. The police detained four protestors.

Azerbaijan accuses Armenian military personnel of massive border violation

Defence treats guilt of Dagestani residents convicted for terrorism as unproved

The “Caucasian Knot" publishes the agreement on the establishment of peace and interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which was initialed by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on August 8, 2025, through the mediation of US President Donald Trump.
