Today, one year after kidnapping and murder of Natalia Estemirova, an employee of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", a picket in Moscow brought together 50 persons. As reported by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, there are flowers and lit candles under Estemirova's portrait; and the names of human rights defenders who perished in recent years are written on the asphalt nearby - Magomed Evloev, Maksharip Aushev, Farid Babayev and Anna Politkovskaya.

Erection of a monument in Moscow instead of the Memorial of Glory blown up in Kutaisi may face certain difficulties. As of July 12, 7 million roubles were raised for the purpose, which is, as noted by Valery Vinogradov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow, obviously not enough.
