Baku court convicts "Nida" activists (+video)
On May 6, the Baku Court of Grave Crimes announced the verdict to eight activists of the movement "Nida", accused of organizing mass riots. Judge Djavid Guseinov handed down a guilty verdict and sentenced the young people to real prison terms ranging from 6 to 8 years. After the announcement of the verdict, a support group of more than a hundred people who gathered close to the courthouse began chanting "Freedom!"

ICRF completes criminal investigation into Yegor Scherbakov's murder
The Moscow Department of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has reported on the completion of the investigation into the criminal case against Orkhan Zeinalov, an Azerbaijani citizen, accused of the murder of Yegor Scherbakov, a Moscow resident. Khasavyurt resident reports law enforcers damaged houses during special operation
Law enforcers have damaged a number of houses in a special operation conducted in Khasavyurt, a local told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. Townspeople also argue that during the special operation only two militants were killed, while the third one managed to escape, despite the tight encirclement.

Policeman wounded in Dagestan is in critical condition
The condition of a staff member of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), who was wounded on May 4 in Khasavyurt, is extremely grave; and he is in the resuscitation ward.
