In Chechnya, case of "honour killing" is brought to court
In Chechnya, the criminal case against a resident of the Urus-Martan District, who is accused of killing his younger sister, has been brought to the court. Investigators believe that the man has committed a so-called "honour killing". The suspect has confessed to the crime. This was reported by officials from the Chechen law enforcement agencies.

Court sentences Said Amirov and Yusup Djaparov to 10 and 8.5 years of imprisonment
The North-Caucasian District Military Court has found both Said Amirov, dismissed Mayor of Makhachkala, and his nephew Yusup Djaparov, guilty of plotting a terror act, and sentenced them to 10 and 8.5 years of imprisonment, respectively. Policeman dies in shelled car in Khasavyurt District of Dagestan
Today, in the Khasavyurt District of Dagestan, unidentified persons have shelled a car with two persons inside it. One of them was a policeman and he died from his wounds. This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for Dagestan.

ICRF: Said Amirov may face new charges

Azerbaijani MoD recommends soldiers not to fast during Ramadan

Residents of Dagestan report detention and beating of Imam and head of Maidanskoe village administration

Armenia: prosecutor asks 6.5 years in prison for Volodya Avetisyan

Two of five persons killed by power agents in Untsukul District of Dagestan were not militants, locals assert
On July 6, the Untsukul District of Dagestan was put under the counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime. According to the NAC, the special operation claimed the life of one law enforcer; three other power agents were wounded. Five suspected militants were killed; and three of them were identified as Rasul Gadjiev, Abdulkhalim Gadjiev and Magomed Adalaev.

Court in Chechnya sentences Ruslan Kutaev to four years in prison
The lawyer Pyotr Zaikin has informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that today the Urus-Martan City Court sentenced Ruslan Kutaev, the President of the Assembly of Caucasian Nations, to four years of imprisonment in a general regime colony.
