The Adler District Court has dismissed the claim lodged by the public movement "Law and Order" against the Open Joint-Stock Company (OJSC) "RZhD" (Russian Railways). In their claim, the public activists demanded to return the natural Akhshtyr Quarry to its original position, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

On September 3, Vladikavkaz launched the second international forum "Children are the victims of terror in recent history: the problem of historical memory". The forum is dated to the 10th anniversary of the tragedy in Beslan. Participants of the forum are going to involve the scientific communities both in Russia and foreign countries in the work for prevention of terror against children.

On September 1, advocate Sapiyat Magomedova challenged the guilty verdict against Shamil Nurmagomedov, a resident of Dagestan, who on August 21 was sentenced to four years of imprisonment for taking part in the armed conflict in Syria. According to the defence, the testimony taken as a basis of evidence was received under pressure from staff members of the Centre to Combat Extremism.

During the court hearings in the case on the terror act in Beslan, the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) will focus on the issues related to indiscriminate use of weapons, planning of the rescue operation, and measures taken by the authorities to prevent the terror act, stated the European Human Rights Advocacy Centre (EHRAC). Human rights defenders emphasize that the ECtHR's decision is not able to cancel pain experienced by hostages and their family members; however, it is to restore justice.

On the eve of September 1, volunteers from the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) gave one thousand roubles to each Syrian child from the families living in sanatoriums of Nalchik. In total, 33 children received the money. Today, the same thousand roubles was delivered to each of the families with 12 schoolchildren, who live in other villages of the republic or rent apartments in Nalchik.

Radjab Mustafaev, a local resident, who was killed on September 2 in the outskirts of Makhachkala, was involved in the 2009 shelling of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) for the Republic of Dagestan (RD), and law enforcers found a pistol and grenades with him.
