Over 15 Muslims detained after namaz in Makhachkala
This afternoon, more than 15 people were detained at the exit of the mosque in Kotrov Street in Makhachkala after their afternoon namaz (prayer), eyewitnesses have stated. Then, the detained parishioners of the Makhachkala Salafi mosque were taken to the police, Kurban Askandarov, the Deputy Imam of the mosque, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Bezdelov, former "Rosgranitsa" head, suspected of thefts at Olympic construction, detained in Italy
Dmitry Bezdelov, the former head of the Federal Agency for Improving Russia's Border (known as "Rosgranitsa"), who was on the wanted list on suspicion of embezzling the funds allocated for modernization of the border checkpoint in Adler for the 2014 Winter Olympics, was detained by police in Rome.

Special operation in eastern Chechnya still brings no results
In Chechnya, law enforcers still have not succeeded in revealing the whereabouts of a suspected member of the armed underground, who fled after a shootout with law enforcers that occurred in the Gudermes District on October 25. Deputies of Astrakhan City Duma propose to abolish direct election of City Mayor

Today, a road accident happened in the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia, involving the car of Ibragim Lyanov, the head of the administration of the Djeirakh District of Ingushetia. The official died in the place of the accident.

Committee of Soldiers' Mothers demands from SMD Prosecutors to investigate death of Astrakhan soldier in Dagestan
The Astrakhan Committee of Soldiers' Mothers has appealed to the Prosecutor's Office for the Southern Military District (SMD) with a request to identify and punish the persons responsible for the death of a regular soldier killed in a road traffic accident in Dagestan. Stavropol holds rally against deforestation
In Stavropol, Square of the 200th anniversary of the city hosted a rally in support of forests. The rally was sanctioned by the authorities, and, according to the organizers, it was attended by about 70 persons.
