On May 9, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) celebrated three traditional holidays at once, including the 70th anniversary of Victory in World War II, the Day of the Defence Army, and the 23rd anniversary of the liberation of the town of Shushi. The holidays were marked by memorable events, concerts, and exhibitions.

On May 9, Makhachkala hosted a festive parade dedicated to the Victory Day on the 70th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War. The parade was watched by veterans, soldiers, pupils of cadet classes, and residents of the capital of Dagestan, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

According to international observers, at the recent parliamentary elections in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR), the problems of persons with disabilities were not fully taken into account.
