Ecologist Vladimir Kimaev released in Sochi

Ingush Prosecutor's Office sends application of Alievs' relative for check to MIA

Law enforcers deny violations during raid to Chechen restaurant "Vesely Babai" in Moscow
The Moscow OMON (riot police) has conducted a raid to the restaurant "Vesely Babai". As a result, visitors of the restaurant, mostly natives of Chechnya, were detained. No charges were filed against anyone of them. Staff members of the restaurant complained about rude actions of the law enforcers. The OMON chiefs reject the accusations.

Murat Karaketov, the former chief of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ust-Djeguta ROVD (District Interior Division), and two of his employees tried to "hush up" the case of causing grievous bodily harm to detained Murat Borlakov that resulted in his death. Emergency regime extended in Sochi until July 13
The Sochi administration has extended the duration of the state of emergency, introduced because of the flooding that occurred in June. For the elimination of the damage caused by the disaster, the city will need over 1 billion roubles, said the press service of the administration.

Two years after Akhmednabi Akhmednabiyev's murder: public interest does not cease
Today marks two years since the murder in Dagestan of Akhmednabi Akhmednabiyev, a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. In Dagestan, the investigation into the murder is not successful, and the criminal case has a chance for the qualified investigation only if it is transferred to the federal level. This opinion has been expressed by advocate Abdurashid Sheikhov. The request for the federal investigation into the murder of the journalist is also supported by members of the civil society, since the case does not cease to be of public interest.
