Four international NGOs have submitted a statement to the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) in support of Azerbaijani journalist and rights defender Emin Guseinov. The NGOs request the ECtHR to recognize the revocation of his Azerbaijani citizenship as a persecution for freedom of expression.

Investigators have closed the case on the use of violence by law enforcers against activists and journalists in the Sary Tag District of Yerevan. According to the investigators, there are no defendants in the case.

In Ingushetia, activists and residents of the Sunzha District came to the building of the district administration after the news about the resignation of district head Issa Khashagulgov. In Grozny, policemen sent to an impoundment lot the cars of young people who were fighting for a place in the wedding party cortege and shooting in the air. On September 24, participants of the incident also apologized on the air of the Chechen TV Channel. The incident became the second one within eight days after the public apologies voiced by participants in a similar incident which took place in Shali.

The father and mother of the Gasanguseinov brothers killed in the Dagestani village of Goor-Khindakh held a five-hour picket in Makhachkala, but did not succeed in meeting the leader of Dagestan.
