The sentence of the chef from Novorossiysk convicted of treason has been approved.

The appellate court refused to satisfy the appeal against the sentence of a chef from Novorossiysk, who was sentenced to 13 years in prison for passing information about the location of ships to Ukrainian special services.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", in April, the Krasnodar Regional Court sentenced a 63-year-old resident of Novorossiysk to 13 years in a penal colony for treason. According to the investigation and the court, the ship's cook, wishing to move to the USA, informed her curators about the location of the ships.

The Third Appellate Court of General Jurisdiction recognized the sentence imposed on the 63-year-old ship's cook from Novorossiysk as lawful, TASS reports on November 6.

The appeal was filed by the defense, which disagreed with the severity of the imposed sentence and the qualification of the actions. The convicted person herself stated in court that she acknowledges her actions but does not consider herself guilty. However, the judicial panel found no grounds for mitigating the punishment and refused to overturn or change it.
