Analysts noted the difference between the political and demonstrative meaning of Kadyrov's awards.

Federal awards and the promotion of Ramzan Kadyrov in military rank confirm his special position in relations with the Kremlin, while industry honorary titles rather characterize officials striving to demonstrate loyalty to him, analysts pointed out.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on October 12, Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Ivan Kolesnikov presented the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov with the title "Honorary Railway Worker" at a ceremony naming the railway station Grozny after Akhmat Kadyrov. On October 7, on Vladimir Putin's birthday, Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin presented Kadyrov with the title "Honorary Architect of Russia" during the opening of the boulevard named after Akhmat-Haji Kadyrov in the area named after Putin. On October 3, the director of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov presented Kadyrov with the general's epaulettes after this title was conferred by Putin's decree; at the same ceremony, Kadyrov awarded Zolotov the title of Hero of Chechnya. On October 5, on his 50th birthday, Kadyrov took office as head of Chechnya for a new term after receiving, according to official data, 99.85% of the votes in the elections, and Patriarch Kirill awarded him the Order of Glory and Honor of the I degree.

The current series of awards is not related to the election results, and the promotions and other signs of attention demonstrate the closeness of Ramzan Kadyrov to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the stability of their agreements, believes Chechen political scientist Ruslan Kutaev*.

"No, this is not related to that. This is confirmation that Kadyrov follows in Putin's wake, their agreements are observed, and Kadyrov is close to him. This is yet another demonstration of that," he told a correspondent of "Caucasian Knot".

Kadyrov's industry titles are primarily related to the initiative of officials who seek to earn his favor, Kutaev believes*.

"I think Kadyrov doesn't need all this. It's just some industry leaders trying to please him. And they are completely uncoordinated with him, wanting to please him, to be liked by him. All these initiatives are not related to his image, but to the image of those who do this, to somehow say something about themselves, to remind about themselves," Kutaev said*.

Honorary industry titles have no substantive meaning, pointed out the chairwoman of the "Civic Assistance" committee* Svetlana Gannushkina*.

"An honorary architect is not really an architect at all. One could give him the title of honorary surgeon, chemist, mathematician. The latter for new methods of counting votes in elections. The young man hasn't played enough in childhood, loves new toys and receives them for devoted work," Gannushkina believes*.

Ramzan Kadyrov already has over 90 awards and titles, about 40 of which he received after the start of the special military operation, noted political scientist Sergey Boyko.

"These awards serve a dual function. On one hand, there is an attempt to create the image of an indispensable leader whose talents are recognized in many areas – from architecture to railway transport. On the other hand, such awards demonstrate Kadyrov's status as a key ally in a problematic region for the regime, as well as showing his high level of integration into the political elite of Putin's regime. At the same time, the abundance of such symbolic gestures rather indicates the presence of problems in this area," he told a correspondent of "Caucasian Knot".

The symbolic exchange of gifts between Putin and Kadyrov based on the election results can be viewed as a political ritual, explained Boyko.

"Within which Kadyrov confirms his status as a guarantor of stability and loyalty in Chechnya, and the federal center in exchange provides him with symbolic capital in the form of titles and orders," Boyko explained.

Officially, the title "Honorary Architect of Russia" was awarded to Kadyrov for significant contributions to the development of the architectural industry and urban planning in Russia and Chechnya, as stated in the order of the Ministry of Construction, which was reported by the agency "Chechnya Today" on October 7. The title "Honorary Railway Worker" was awarded for significant contributions to the development and achievement of high results in railway transport activities, said Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Ivan Kolesnikov, whose words were reported by the same agency on October 12.

Recall that Kadyrov has over 90 state, military, departmental, religious, public, and industry awards and titles, according to the "Caucasian Knot" reference "Kadyrov and his awards". Among them are the Order "For Services to Dentistry", received in 2022, the title "Honorary Builder of Russia" in 2024, the honorary sign "Centaur" from the Council of Chief Architects of Russia, the sign from RusHydro "For the Development of Hydropower", and a medal for contributions to the development of the farmers' movement in 2025, and in 2026 – a medal for contributions to the development of science and an order for special contributions to the development of the cement industry.

The title "Honorary Builder of Russia" was presented to Kadyrov in 2024 by Minister of Construction Irek Faizullin, and he received the sign "Centaur" in 2025 for contributions to urban planning. The general's title received in October made Kadyrov the only acting head of a Russian region with such a military rank.
