Ten servicemen from Dagestan have been named as killed in combat operations.

The authorities of the Derbent district reported on the awarding of medals to the relatives of the killed servicemen. Since the beginning of the military operation, at least 2169 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in it.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", by October 16, at least 2159 fighters from Dagestan were officially recognized as killed in the military operation in Ukraine .

In the Derbent district, awards were handed over to the relatives of servicemen killed in the military operation, the district administration reported today on its Telegram channel.

The publication names the killed: Lieutenant Imam Khudaverdiyev (village of Rubas), Senior Warrant Officer Ilman Shakhguseynov (village of Mitagi), Junior Sergeant Sabir Idrisov (village of Aglobi), Privates Salman Babaev (village of Mitagi-Kazmalyar) and Murad Kurbanov (village of Berikey), as well as soldiers Vladimir Abdurakhmanov (settlement of Belidzh), Ramiz Usmanov (settlement of Belidzh), Roman Naumov (village of Chinar), Renat Amakhanov (village of Mitagi-Kazmalyar), and Mitalim Abdurakhmanov (village of Berikey).

Thus, at least 2169 fighters from Dagestan have been officially recognized as killed in the military operation.

Authorities recognized at least 9850 fighters from southern Russia as killed in Ukraine

At least 4901 fighters from the North Caucasus Federal District and 4949 servicemen from the Southern Federal District have been officially recognized as killed during the special operation in Ukraine.

Dagestan ranks first among the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and Southern Federal District in the number of killed in the military operation whose names have been officially disclosed by the authorities. In February 2022, Sergey Melikov, who was then the head of Dagestan, was the first among the authorities to report that a Russian serviceman - officer Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov - was killed in Ukraine.
