The administration of Abrau-Dyurso provided protective suits and equipment, and there was also tea with sweets, and pies were brought to the shore for lunch.

The beach was cleaned by volunteers, employees of the legal department of the city and Novorossiysk district administration, representatives of the rural administration, and local residents, including 8 people from neighboring streets - Alexey Churilin and Khabraya.

But now, looking at the bags with stones, I understand that we managed to collect some part, and that means it will be easier for nature," Larisa's words are quoted in the publication.

Ecologist, director of environmental programs of the "Green Patrol" organization Roman Pukalov pointed out that there may be several sources of pollution.

"There was no spill of a huge amount of oil products in the sea a week ago, and today we do not observe it. It is possible that there was another source of oil product leakage. Oil products have been cleaned by rescuers in the area of Novorossiysk and under the High Coast in Anapa since October 13. The discharges of oil products along the shores are sporadic, in sections of several hundred meters. This is not a disaster," he emphasized.

"Oil products may still be discharged on the shores of Anapa and the Black Sea coast of Taman. They are not visible on the surface, but fishermen complain about dirty nets in the sea," Pukalov added in his Telegram channel on October 16.

Today, the ecologist added that there have been no reports of oil product discharges from the shores of the Black Sea in recent days, but "a storm is beginning with a southwest wind (towards the shore)."

Authorities' statements about the absence of oil discharges after the fire on the Aframax Rio tanker are premature; shoreline pollution is inevitable, ecologists stated earlier in interviews with "Caucasian Knot." The "Transparent World" project recorded oil spots along the coast of Kuban on October 10 and 12, and volunteers found soiled birds on the beaches.
