The Deputy Head of Taganrog has been arrested in a bribery case.

The Lenin District Court of Rostov-on-Don has arrested until December 12 the Deputy Head of the Administration of Taganrog, Yegor Dolmatov, suspected of receiving a bribe.

On Wednesday, law enforcement agencies reported the detention of the Deputy Head of Taganrog for municipal services, Yegor Dolmatov. Later, the Investigative Committee for the Rostov Region reported on the investigation against Dolmatov regarding a criminal case of receiving a large bribe.

According to the investigation, Dolmatov received through an intermediary from a representative of an individual entrepreneur a bribe of 360,000 rubles from September to November 2023 for general protection during the conclusion of municipal contracts, unhindered acceptance of completed work, and their timely payment. These contracts involved work on the improvement of the city's territory, as reported today by "Interfax."

The court decided to impose a measure of restraint on Dolmatov in the form of detention for one month and 29 days, until December 12, 2026, inclusive.

Yegor Dolmatov was appointed as the Deputy Head of the City Administration on January 27, 2023. He oversaw issues of improvement and housing and communal services, and prior to that, he headed the Proletarsky District of Rostov-on-Don for several years. Before that, he worked for five years in the administration of the Voroshilovsky District of the city. At different times, the official was responsible for issues of improvement and housing and communal services, reports the publication Donday.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that in January 2023, residents of the emergency apartment building No. 4 on Krivoshlykovsky Lane in Rostov-on-Don complained that they had been without water supply for about a week, as the authorities had previously recognized the building as emergency. The disconnection of the building from resources began after the head of the Proletarsky District, Yegor Dolmatov, sent a letter on August 31, 2022, to the heads of utility services, indicating that the cassation court confirmed the legality of the decision of the administration of Rostov-on-Don. On January 25, residents of the emergency house reported insufficient compensation. According to them, the amount of compensation does not allow them to buy equivalent housing, but the authorities are forcing them to agree to these amounts of payments.
