The court in Maykop arrested a blogger for an application to the "Anti-War Committee"*

The Maykop City Court sent a resident of Adygea to a pre-trial detention center on charges of involvement in a terrorist organization. Later, the announcement of the arrest of a "popular blogger" disappeared from the court's website.

The man is accused of participating in the activities of a terrorist organization 1 . According to the court's message, he is a popular blogger in Adygea, while the name of the accused is not disclosed – the official source referred to him as "Citizen X."

According to the investigation, in September 2026, the accused, while in Krasnodar, knowingly joined the international non-governmental organization "Anti-War Committee of Russia," recognized as terrorist. The man filled out an application for associate membership in the ACR* and sent the document via Telegram to an "unidentified member of the organization," claims the court's press service.

The defense requested house arrest for the accused, but the court rejected his arguments and arrested the man for one month and 30 days, until November 23. If the countdown of the arrest period starts from the date of official detention, it occurred around September 25, notes "Mediazona"**.

According to the court registry, the request for arrest was received on September 26, and it was granted by Judge Bella Stash; the name of the accused is also hidden in the case file. The announcement of the arrest was published on the court's website today at 9:01 AM Moscow time, later it was removed without explanation, but a copy was preserved in the web archive, notes the publication "Protocol."

On the page of the "Anti-War Committee"*, against whose participants the FSB initiated a case of violent seizure of power and organization of a terrorist community in October 2025, anyone interested is invited to fill out an application for associate membership and leave contact information, including in Telegram. In March 2026, the Supreme Court of Russia recognized the ACR* as a terrorist organization and banned its activities.

It is unknown whether the arrested person corresponded with real representatives of the committee. Human rights defenders are aware of cases of provocations by security forces using fake Telegram channels of other organizations declared terrorist, in particular, the "Legion of Freedom of Russia"*: people were offered to fill out an application to join the organization and send it to a specific contact, which was controlled by FSB officers.
