The CEC of Armenia announced elections in a number of communities

Elections to local self-government bodies will be held on October 25 and November 29, reported the Central Election Commission of Armenia.

The Central Election Commission of Armenia has drawn lots to assign serial numbers to the parties and party blocs participating in the elections to local self-government bodies, which will take place on October 25, 2026. This was reported by the CEC of the republic.

The CEC also accredited the public organization of community development "Civil Youth Center" and organizations jointly acting under the common name "Independent Public Alliance of Observers."

On October 25, 2026, elections for the councils of elders will be held in the communities of Artashat, Gavar, Yeghenadzor, and Ijevan.

Also, on November 29, 2026, elections will be held in the communities of Ashtarak, Aparan in the Aragatsotn region, Metsamor, Baghramyan in the Armavir region, Sevan in the Gegharkunik region, Spitak in the Lori region, Ashotzk, and Amasia in the Shirak region, Kapan in the Syunik region, and Noyemberyan in the Tavush region under the proportional electoral system. Under the majoritarian electoral system - in the communities of Arevut and Metsadzor in the Aragatsotn region.
