The Krasnodar city hall explained the ban on the rally against the construction of the church by the threat of drone attacks.

The threats of aerial attacks became the official reason for which the Krasnodar city hall refused to hold a rally against the construction of a church in the Jubilee microdistrict. Nevertheless, the authorities approved a car procession. Activists were outraged by this contradiction, as well as the fact that the car procession is planned against the backdrop of a gasoline shortage.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on January 16, the head of Krasnodar, despite residents' protests, approved the planning project for the Christmas embankment in the Jubilee microdistrict, where the church is planned to be built. On April 26, security forces were deployed in the morning to the Christmas embankment, where local residents protested against the construction of the church. The visit of Patriarch Kirill, who was supposed to lay the first stone of the cathedral, did not take place.

The Krasnodar administration responded with a refusal to the notification about holding rallies in the Jubilee microdistrict against the construction of parks, churches, and other facilities. According to the response from the deputy director of the internal policy department of the Krasnodar administration, Plachkovsky, which was posted on the Telegram channel "Krasnodar YUMR", activists planned to hold rallies against the construction of green areas, with dates announced from September 24 to 27 in the notification of local activist Vitaly Cherkasov.

In response to the notification, the city hall stated that there are constant signals of "drone danger", "missile danger", and "aerial danger" in the city. Officials stated that they cannot allow possible harm to the health and lives of the protesters.

Despite this, a car procession will take place throughout the microdistrict on September 27, according to the publication.

"Is it not dangerous to bring columns of cars to the Jubilee microdistrict at the same time? Who personally bears responsibility for such decisions in Krasnodar? Has our gasoline crisis ended? Then tell me where to refuel?", - the publication states.

"Maybe I should also go, join the crowd, and pull out posters saying that we are against construction," asked one of the users under the publication.

"I was threatened with a fine of 15,000 rubles if I go without permission. Why can’t I, a native of Krasnodar, say how I want to see my hometown? What right do they have to silence me?" - Tatiana was outraged.

According to the city hall, as of the morning of September 26, there are 76 gas stations operating in Krasnodar. AI-92 is available at 40 gas stations, AI-95 at 32 gas stations, AI-100 at 11 gas stations, and diesel at 74 gas stations.

At a number of gas stations, restrictions have been introduced by the owners - fuel is only poured into tanks. Another 30 gas stations temporarily do not dispense fuel, and 9 facilities are closed for repairs/rebranding, as indicated in the message from the Krasnodar MTSU.

Recall that on January 29, the deputies of the Krasnodar city council approved a decision to seize part of the park for the construction of the church. On March 19, 99% of participants in the public discussion expressed opposition to conducting religious ceremonies on the Christmas embankment of Krasnodar, however, the commission considered the opinion of the opponents of the church construction insignificant and recommended that the mayor grant permission for religious needs on the embankment.

"Caucasian Knot" also reported that as early as December 2021, activists opposed the construction of a new church on the embankment in Krasnodar, and residents of the Jubilee microdistrict also protested against it. Defenders of the embankment believe it is necessary to build educational and recreational facilities for children in the microdistrict.
