In the video he recorded at Krasnodar polling station No. 2014, Cherkasov showed a diagram of the polling station and the places where observers should be located during the counting of votes.

In September, Cherkasov mainly wrote in his Telegram channel about participation in the elections, the preparation of observers, and expressed protest against the removal of observers from the commission and the tables for counting votes.

On August 28, he posted a message in his Telegram channel regarding the extension of voting to seven days, stating that as a member of the Territorial Election Commission of the Western District with the right to a decisive vote, he opposes such a decision.

"The introduction of four additional days of early voting from September 14-17, in addition to the three existing days from September 18-20, makes it practically impossible to fully monitor compliance with electoral procedures and the preservation of voted ballots in their original form. Additional nights of voting will significantly increase the risks under which malefactors can alter the will of the citizens," he indicated.

Posts about the seven-day voting became the most popular in the last month — in the Telegram channel, which has 1,793 subscribers, they were read by 4,796 and 2,943 people.

It should be noted that previously Vitaly Cherkasov actively covered the topic of the construction of a church on the Christmas embankment in the Yubileyny microdistrict of Krasnodar.
