Supporters of Georgia's Euro-integration with national flags and EU flags gathered today at the parliament building and the Tbilisi city council on the 657th day. The protesters' demands remain unchanged - the release of political prisoners and the repeal of repressive laws, as well as a return to the Euro-Atlantic course and free elections, reports Publika.

Demonstrators in Tbilisi held placards saying "Freedom for Elene," "Freedom for political prisoners," and "Russia is the enemy," according to published photos. On Rustaveli Avenue near the parliament, judging by the photo by Giorgi Mumladze, at least 100 people gathered.

On the anniversary of the arrest of the leader of the "Droa" party, Elene Khoshtaria, the fifth president of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili recorded a message in her support. She addressed the opposition figure while standing outside the prison, reports Netgazeti.

"You need to endure a little longer. I know you are currently in 'VivaMed', not here, but this place is more symbolic. Here are Mzia Amaglobeli and those women who, like you, are examples for all on how not to break and how to inspire your parents, children, and all society from here," Zourabichvili said, addressing Khoshtaria.

The protest on the 657th day also took place near the building of the Constitutional Court of Georgia in Batumi. Its participants held placards saying "Antsukhelidze is immortal," "Freedom for political prisoners," and "Russia is the occupier," according to a publication by Batumelebi.

Protesters in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024. Law enforcement has conducted harsh dispersals of protests, using tear gas and water cannons, and detaining protesters. During the protests, thousands of people have faced administrative prosecution.
