Residents of Dagestan, commenting on his words on social media, complained about the lack of textbooks in some schools and the collection of money from parents.

Some users, identifying themselves as residents of Dagestan, contrasted Shchukin's report with problems in certain schools. "Tabasaransky district, the village of Gyukhryag. Was this school reported on too?" asked yasha.1984.

Other users complained about the collection of money from students' parents. "Did he report on the collections in schools, I wonder?" asked user sm050695.

"About nine thousand is spent on books, plus they collect for repairs," noted matador0005.

"The children haven't even started school yet, and the collections have already begun: buy books, gifts for the teacher, blinds, a TV, desks need to be bought. When the mayor comes to the school, the principal says: we have everything, but it turns out we need to collect and buy everything. And we barely survive, even though we work. As of 08:50 MSK, there are no comments on the website of the head of Dagestan regarding residents' complaints about the state of schools and the collection of money from parents.

For instance, on September 1, 2025, parents of schoolchildren in Makhachkala and Kaspiysk complained about the lack of free textbooks and the need to buy books at their own expense. In particular, parents of students at school No. 59 in Makhachkala reported that out of about ten necessary textbooks, children were given only a few.
