Participants of the continuous action in Tbilisi gathered on Rustaveli for the 639th consecutive day.

Despite the heavy rain, supporters of Georgia's Eurointegration took to the streets in Tbilisi for the 639th consecutive day. The total number of pardoned participants of the protests in 2024-2025 has reached nine.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on August 27, the 638th day of continuous protests, it became known that Fridon Bubuteishvili, convicted for participating in protests against the foreign agents law, was included in the pardoned list by the President of Georgia.

Citizens demanding the return of the country to a Euro-Atlantic course, the release of political prisoners, the abolition of repressive mechanisms, and the holding of elections in a free and fair environment, despite the heavy rain, gathered again on the 639th day of continuous protests in front of the Parliament building and the Tbilisi City Council, reports Publika.

Participants of the action held flags of Georgia, the European Union, Ukraine, and the USA. Some participants held placards: "Don't give up", "Freedom for media", "We demand transparent judicial processes", "Uneducated people should not be in power, for they will bring the country down to their level", according to a publication by photographer MO SE on Facebook*.

Today, it was confirmed that seven more individuals pardoned by President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili, convicted for participating in the protests of 2024-2025, are now free, reports the publication "Batumelebi".

Among them are participants of mass demonstrations that erupted after the authorities decided to suspend negotiations on Georgia's EU membership: musician David Khomeriki (sentenced to 4.5 years in prison), 20-year-old Saba Jikia (sentenced to 4.5 years in prison), Guram Khutashvili and Daniel Mumladze (both 23 years old, each sentenced to 3 years in prison).

Three others are involved in the case of the action on October 4, 2025, when some protesters dismantled the fence and entered the courtyard of the presidential residence on Atoneli Street: Tornike Mchedlishvili (sentenced to 5 years in prison), Simon Makharadze (entered into a plea agreement and was sentenced to 1 year in prison and 3 years probation), Avtandil Topchishvili (entered into a plea agreement and was to serve 1 year in prison and 3 years probation).

Thus, the total number of pardoned participants of the protests in 2024-2025 has reached nine.

Participants of the protests in Georgia have been demanding new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners since November 28, 2024.
