Telegram users called for the removal of the crossing over the Anapka after the beach replenishment.

The crossing over the Anapka River was built to fill the beaches with imported sand after an oil spill, and upon completion of the work, the resort authorities planned to remove it. However, despite the completion of the sand delivery, the structure still remains, noted Telegram users.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", the work on pumping oil from fragments of the tankers "Volgoneft-212" and "Volgoneft-239", which sank as a result of a crash in the Kerch Strait in December 2024, has been completed. The permitting documents from Rospotrebnadzor have already been received for 111 beaches in Anapa after the replenishment with imported sand. Earlier in August, satellite imagery from Planet recorded the continuation of the leak of oil products from the sunken "Volgoneft" tankers in the Kerch Strait.

In January 2026, in order to expedite the restoration of the beaches, the construction of a temporary dam-crossing on the Anapka River began. More than six months have passed, the restoration of the beaches is complete, according to the statement from the head of the Anapa administration, while the dam remains in place and no one plans to dismantle it, the author of the appeal published by the Telegram channel "Professional Citizen" noted.

"For some reason, everyone is indifferent to the state of the Anapka River and the state natural reserve 'Anapsky'. After all, the illegally constructed capital construction object: GTS - dam-crossing on the Anapka River, which hinders the water exchange river-sea-river, is simply killing the river and all living things in this area," the publication states.

"The fate of the Anapka is in the competence of the regional authorities, and the head of the municipality should not ask questions to the Ministry of Emergency Situations," believes Viktor Alekseevich.

"The dam-crossing was built by JSC 'Resorts of Anapa', whose founder is the resort city of Anapa (according to open data), so the municipality has a direct relation to the construction, while the Ministry of Emergency Situations has nothing to do with it," Igor Komarov objected.

Regarding the dismantling of the temporary crossing, the head of the city, Svetlana Maslova, reported on April 7.

"In the area of the central beach, soil was brought in to form a technological passage through the Anapka River to ensure the movement of heavy machinery. Also, during the day, slabs and plastic pipes will be brought here to set up a temporary drainage system, so as not to disrupt the natural flow of water. After all the work is completed, this temporary bridge will be dismantled, and the area will be restored to its original state," the mayor wrote in her Telegram channel.
