There is a shortage of AI-95 gasoline at gas stations in the Don and Kuban regions.

AI-95 gasoline is absent at more than half of the gas stations in the Rostov region and five major cities of the Krasnodar Territory. Against the backdrop of an already established shortage after the drone attacks, the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery has suspended operations.

As reported by "Caucasian Knot", on August 23, motorists from Sochi and Gelendzhik described the difficult situation with gasoline. In Gelendzhik, drivers had to wait six to eight hours to refuel, while in Sochi, the price of certain brands of gasoline at private gas stations reached 200 rubles per liter. In Anapa, on that day, AI-95 was available at 14 out of 23 operating gas stations.

As of the morning of August 25, in Krasnodar, Novorossiysk, Anapa, Gelendzhik, and Sochi, AI-95 gasoline was sold at 77 out of 177 operating gas stations (AZS). Thus, it was unavailable at 100 stations, or 56.5%, reported the publication "Yuga.ru".

In Krasnodar, AI-95 was available at 35 out of 70 operating gas stations, in Novorossiysk – at five out of 25, in Anapa – at 14 out of 21, in Gelendzhik – at two out of nine. In Sochi, as of the evening of August 24, this brand of gasoline was available at 21 out of 52 operating gas stations, according to the publication.

A similar situation has developed in the Rostov region. Of the 605 active gas stations in the region, AI-95 gasoline was available at 277 as of August 21, reported today by "Southern Federal" citing the regional Ministry of Industry and Energy.

From this data, it follows that AI-95 was absent at 328 out of 605 gas stations in the Rostov region – approximately 54% of the active gas stations.

According to the agency, a shortage of various types of fuel was noted at 34% of the region's gas stations. The shortage has most severely affected independent companies and non-network gas stations, noted "Southern Federal".

The authorities of the Rostov region continue to monitor fuel availability and price changes daily. Issues of fuel supply for socially significant consumers are discussed at meetings of the regional headquarters, and Cossacks and volunteers have been involved in monitoring gas stations, the regional Ministry of Industry and Energy reported.

Remember, against the backdrop of drone attacks on oil refineries, including those located in southern Russia, a fuel crisis has emerged. The fuel problem has caused a sharp increase in demand for the installation of gas cylinder equipment. In auto services, customer queues have stretched several months ahead, and the cost of equipment has nearly doubled.

Analysts previously noted that prolonged waiting forces motorists to turn to "gray" installers who do not guarantee the safety of the equipment.

At the same time, analysts believe that the mass installation of gas equipment will not help overcome the fuel crisis, as the necessary infrastructure is still lacking.

Creating such infrastructure in a short time is impossible, said Alexander Frolov, Deputy General Director of the National Energy Institute. "However, the current crisis is a good reason to remember the programs that already exist but are developing much slower than planned," he noted.

Leading analyst of the National Energy Security Fund Igor Yushkov suggested that the mass transition of drivers to gas will not become a long-term trend. In his opinion, after the gasoline problem is resolved and the queues at gas stations disappear, the excitement around the installation of gas equipment will decline.
